This is the normal sequence of events to my work process:
1. You contact me and describe your project by phone, email or text message, preferably with sketches, images, notes, photos or videos and your timeframe for completion.
2. I reply with questions and/or a request for more information to clarify the project and its intended use. You answer.
3. If the project is very clear to me, I provide an estimate of labor, materials and calendar time required.
4. If it’s not very clear to me, we schedule an in-person visit for me to see the project site and to ask further clarifying questions.
5. I describe a proposed solution in words and/or sketches with a cost and time estimate. I write to you, "If you agree with my time and price estimates and my business terms, please write back to me and state these exact words: “I accept your time and price estimates and your business terms.“ Then, send me a down payment according to the chart below:
When I receive your down payment, we will have an agreement and that will put you in my work queue, at which point I can begin to work on your project.
6. You accept the proposal, agree to the terms and send the down payment.
7. I complete the job and you pay the remainder of actual final charges.
